JESUS, THE ONE WHO CALLS US TO MORE
BIG IDEA:
Jesus calls us out of complacent comfort and into more.
The church in Laodicea had grown comfortable. They were neither hot nor cold, but lukewarm. Jesus calls them out of that comfort trap and into a life to the full and to more of Him.
WHAT DO WE LEARN ABOUT JESUS?
- JESUS STANDS AT THE DOOR AND KNOCKS. Jesus won’t force His way in – He invites us to open the door of our hearts to Him (Revelation 3:20)
- JESUS OFFERS SOMETHING BETTER THAN COMFORT. Jesus invites us into a faith, and therefore a life where we can experience “immeasurably more” (Ephesians 3:20)
- JESUS CALLS FOR A DECISION. We cannot live one foot in Team Jesus and one in the world – Jesus wants all of us (Luke 9:23)
