DIG DEEPER

DAY 4

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PERSEVERE?

The church in Philadelphia was praised for holding on despite having little strength. Perseverance doesn’t mean never feeling tired or weak—it means clinging to God’s promises when everything else feels shaky.

WHY PERSEVERE?

Romans 5:3–5:

Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

Hebrews 12:1–2:

Fix your eyes on Jesus, who endured the cross, as your source of strength.

God never asks us to hold on in our own strength. He promises to sustain us with His presence and power.

TAKE IT FURTHER:

Write down one promise of God (refer to Scriptures listed in the main study as a guide) and put it somewhere visible—your phone, a notebook, or your wall. Let it remind you to persevere daily.
