THE DANGER OF SPIRITUAL APATHY
When Jesus rebukes Sardis for being spiritually dead despite their reputation for being alive, it’s a wake-up call for all of us. Spiritual apathy happens when we stop paying attention to God’s voice or when we let the voices of this world lull us into a passive faith.
WHAT DOES SPIRITUAL APATHY LOOK LIKE?
- Going through the motions without passion or purpose.
- Hearing the truth but not acting on it.
- Letting sin creep in because it feels easier than confronting it.

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.”
TAKE IT FURTHER:
Spend time reading Psalm 51. Use it as a prayer to ask God to “renew a steadfast spirit” in you and awaken your faith.
