2025 Announcement
G’day TeenStreet family! We’re so excited to share some huge news about the future of TeenStreet QLD.
We’re amazed at how God is using the ministry of TeenStreet to impact the next generation of Jesus following world changers! And we’re totally committed to giving every Teen the opportunity to encounter Jesus at TeenStreet.
But the simple fact is that we have outgrown our current venue. So much so, that for the last 3 years, we’ve been forced to cap our Teen numbers because we simply don’t have enough beds.
It was heart-breaking to have nearly 100 teens on our waiting list this year who missed out on a spot. This is NOT OK with us.
It's time to move!
So…we’ve made the incredibly exciting decision to move to a new venue where we can grow into all that God has for us as a movement!
After a lot of prayer and consultation, and exploring all our options, we finally found a suitable place to call our new home.
So, for those who weren’t at TSQLD this year and missed the huge announcement…we’re stoked to announce that the new venue for TeenStreet QLD moving forward will be…
- Watson Park Convention Center, in Dakabin, North Brisbane
But that's not all!
While Watson Park was by far the best venue to cater for our growth and needs, there was one catch. The venue is unavailable during the July School holidays.
So our second huge announcement is that from 2025, TeenStreet QLD is moving to the Easter School holidays! Which means next year, the dates for TSQLD will be…
- April 6-11, 2025
We know this is a lot to take in!
Please know that we did not take this decision lightly. We were motivated by our desire to not turn away a single Teen from TeenStreet.
So unlimited Teens now, right?
Well, not quite…
Yes, our new venue has the accommodation capacity for us to open up TeenStreet to hundreds more Teens. But in order for us to effectively and responsibly support our Teens, we need enough amazing Coaches and Service Team.
We will gradually grow into our new venue, Watson Park. This means, as we increase our Teen numbers, we also need to increase our Coaches and Service Team.
So in 2025, we’ll be increasing the Teen cap to allow more Teens the opportunity to come. But it won’t be unlimited. Each year, we’ll continue to increase the cap, so that our growth is sustainable.
