SHINE THE LIGHT
JESUS IS THE FACE OF GOD’S MERCY
If you want to know what DEEP MERCY looks like, look to Jesus.
He does not just talk about MERCY, He embodies it. He moves towards sinners, outsiders, failures, the shamed, the proud, the desperate, and the self-righteous. He tells the truth without cruelty and offers grace without pretending sin does not matter.
At the Cross, MERCY and justice meet. Jesus takes what we deserve so that we can receive what we do not deserve. That is DEEP MERCY!
Romans 11 ends not with a neat explanation, but with worship: OH THE DEPTH. That is the right landing point for this, our last day at Teenstreet 2026. Not just: I should probably be nicer. That’s too shallow. The right landing point is wonder. God’s DEEP MERCY is deeper than our instincts, wiser than our categories, and richer that we can even try to begin to measure.
LOOK TO JESUS…
- Jesus does not ration out MERCY
- Jesus consistently welcomes repentant sinners
- Jesus shows us that DEEP MERCY is not weakness, but a great strength of His holy love
PRAYER…
Jesus…thank You for showing me DEEP MERCY. Deal with my pride,
soften my heart, and teach me to reflect
Your DEEP MERCY in the real world that I’m heading back into.
