JESUS, THE ONE WHO CALLS US TO BE ALIVE
BIG IDEA:
Jesus calls us to WAKE UP and live fully for Him.
The churches in Thyatira and Sardis had become spiritually asleep. They were going through the motions, looking alive on the outside but spiritually dying on the inside. Jesus calls them to WAKE UP and be real.
WHAT DO WE LEARN ABOUT JESUS?
- JESUS SPEAKS TRUTH EVEN WHEN IT IS HARD TO HEAR. Jesus doesn’t sugarcoat the problem; He calls us to real faith (Revelation 3:1-3)
- JESUS WANTS OUR FAITH TO BE ALIVE. Jesus doesn’t want a reputation of faith…He wants the real thing! (John 10:10)
- JESUS INVITES US INTO TRANSFORMATION. Jesus doesn’t just wake us up, He gives us new life (Ephesians 5:14)
