JESUS, THE ONE WHO IS EVER FAITHFUL
BIG IDEA:
Jesus understands suffering and calls us to stay faithful.
The churches of Smyrna and Pergamum faced persecution, rejection, and suffering for their faith. Yet, Jesus reminded them that He, too, was rejected, yet He remained faithful.
WHAT DO WE LEARN ABOUT JESUS?
- JESUS KNOWS WHAT IT’S LIKE TO SUFFER. He was despised, rejected, and even killed (Isaiah 53:3-5)
- JESUS STAYS CLOSE TO THE OUTCAST. He never leaves those who are hurting and rejected (Matthew 5:10-12)
- JESUS PROMISES ETERNAL VICTORY. Even if suffering comes, it is temporary – He has already won (Revelation 2:10)
