DIG DEEPER

DAY 5

BREAKING FREE FROM LUKEWARM FAITH

The church in Laodicea is called “lukewarm”—neither hot nor cold, neither passionate nor rebellious. Jesus says this kind of faith makes Him want to spit them out. Comfort can be the enemy of faith when it dulls our dependence on Jesus.

SIGNS OF LUKEWARM FAITH:

  • Prioritising comfort over obedience.
  • Avoiding hard conversations or decisions for the sake of ease.
  • Forgetting your need for Jesus because life feels “fine.”

KEY SCRIPTURE:

MATTHEW 6:24:

“You cannot serve both God and money.”

REFLECT:

Is there a specific comfort (e.g., material things, social approval) that has made you less reliant on Jesus

Jesus is calling us to be on His team…are you ready to be #ALLIN?

TAKE IT FURTHER:

Read 2 Corinthians 12:9–10 and reflect on how God’s power is made perfect in weakness. Pray for the courage to step out of your comfort zone and trust Him fully.
